All of the Filbins loved Tarzin as their own, but it was Nora that used to walk Tarzin around the house on a leash and run around the neighborhood. Tarzin was so patient.

Nedra,

We are so sad to hear about Tarzin. He was an amazing dog. He was so cute. I remember when he was a puppy and tried to play with Mattie and her head literally fit in his mouth. He was so well trained by you. I know how much you must miss him. A part of him will always be in your heart and the hearts of those of us that he touched. We are here for you anytime of the day or night. Miss you.

I'm so very sorry to hear about Tarzin. He really was one of the most beautiful, regal canines I've ever met. Such a sweet demeanor, so loyal to you, such a grand presence in a crowd. Please know that I'm thinking of you both and am here if you need anything.

I actually met Tarzin and Nedra at the same time on the Maroon 5 tour and I knew Nedra must be cool if she had a dog as cool as Tarzin.He had such a great energy and always made you feel good. Last time I was in Austin, Nedra, Tarzin, Karen, Liv and Abbey took me for crazy barbeque Texas style and a beautiful hike at Enchanted Rock. In this pic, Tarzin and Abbey are leading the way up!

Tarzin was such a great dog, a real free-spirit. He was always up for fun whether it be walking, swimming, hiking or chasing squirrels. He'll be missed by all who came to know and love him. We're thinking of you, Nedra. Be well and stay strong.

I am devastated with this news.  I am so, so sorry; please call me anytime if you need to talk.  We are all thinking of you and saying a prayer for sweet Tarzin, the gentlest giant there ever was; we will miss him so.

Tarzin was one of the sweetest dogs I've ever known. Nedra, I'm so sorry for your loss. You are definitely in my thoughts.

Walking buddy..

Tarzin was one of my favorite walking buddies. Here's a photo of him on the Greenbelt last spring. We tried to get a group photo but couldn't get all the dogs to look our way at the same time. I loved listening to his girly bark when he chased squirrels and watching him go crazy trying to catch them. Izzy, Clyde, Oso and I will miss you, buddy.

Tarzin was thirsty on a trip in to town, so resourceful Nedra found Ruby's water cup and let him have a little!  Then we sent the photo among others to Hillary and Dave and got busted!!  :)

Tarzin was so sweet around Lilly. He was gentle when he sniffed her face, and patient when she pulled his beautiful, fluffy tail.

This is one of my favorites. We were camping at Hill Country State Natural Area, which also happened to have equestrian trails next to our camp site. Tarzin would sneak off and sit in the middle of the trail waiting to greet the next unsuspecting horse mid trot. Probably not the best idea. When asked to move, he would get upset and walk directly to the tent to sulk.  I love that he would let you know exactly how he felt.  And now that i think of it, he was smart. He knew Nedra had made him the most comfortable bed to sulk in.  She was the best mom, and he had the best life. Tarzin, I will miss you friend. You lived a full life and experienced more than a lot of people.

Tarzin, You were the best camping buddy anyone could ask for. I will miss you leading the way.
